Xuan Thuy National Park is located in a 12,000ha area of Giao Thuy District, Nam Dinh. This park is 160km from Hanoi, and it is the perfect destination for people who wish to explore the wild nature of northern Vietnam and its own amazing biodiversity. Additionally, the area caters to visitors with a multitude of tourist packages and attractions such as community trips or even to cultural sites into the surrounding area.
It might be said that Xuan Thuy is one of the best places in the field to see animals within their habitat that is native birds. Scientists estimate you can find over 100 types of migratory birds which stop within Xuan Thuy to rest during their migration, usually in massive flocks. All year round, including several rare types such as the Pelican, Spoon-bill Stork and Saunder’s Gull besides these migratory birds, there are also 215 species of birds living in its forests and mangrove swamps. Underneath the waters of Xuan Thuy is a habitat that is magical of 500 types of sea creatures just like the Sea Cat, Sea Fox, and several colorful types of crab, shrimp and fish. Moreover, this park contains huge variety of medicinal and edible plants, including rare forms of algae and seaweed. The exceptional biodiversity of Xuan Thuy in conjunction with its pristine landscapes lead to breathtaking views; the type usually only seen through the lens of a nature documentary.
